In September of this year, the total liabilities of the banking sector reached 44.55 billion manats, which is an increase of 3% or 1.29 billion manats compared to the beginning of the year, APA-Economics reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
It was noted that the deposit portfolio traditionally dominates the structure of liabilities. The total liabilities of the sector are composed of 80.9% (36 bln. 58.9 mln. manats) from the deposit portfolio.
The deposit portfolio consists of 61.6% (22.2098 billion manats) from legal entities and 38.4% (13.8491 billion manats) from physical persons (excluding deposits from individuals engaged in individual entrepreneurship).
